This recipe sounds great for bacon lovers and would make a nice gift for dad for Father's Day, if he likes bacon that is. It's a recipe from Alton Brown and he calls it Lacquered Bacon. Instead of frying bacon in a pan you bake it in the oven. It sounds a little weird to do it that way, considering how much most people love pan fried bacon, but the recipe does sound good.

You only need a few other ingredients, besides the bacon, and then you just put it on a rack and roast it in the oven. In about 30 minutes or so and after it has cooled, you have something that resembles beefy jerky...bacon jerky?

Doesn't really have the same ring to it, but I think I might give it a try this weekend.

Make sure to grab your tickets for our Bacon and Brew Fest! It happens July 18 and celebrates all things bacon. We’ll have live music, great craft beer, and bacon inspired dishes from local restaurants. Tickets are $15 at ctbaconandbrew.com and $20 at the door. Hope to see you there!
