Brewster Teen Arrested For DWI & Driving Without License, Police Say
Police say a Putnam County teenager who was caught driving without a license received his second DWI arrest.
New York State Police from Brewster arrested 19-year-old Patrick W. O’Keefe Jr., of Carmel for aggravated unlicensed operation, a class E felony, and driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor.
Troopers say they stopped O’Keefe in Brewster for speeding. Following an investigation by the arresting officer, O’Keefe was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.
O’Keefe was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation after a background checked revealed he lost his driving privileges due to a previous DWI related arrest.
O’Keefe supplied a breath sample that allegedly yielded a Blood Alcohol Content of .16%, two times the legal limit of intoxication.
O’Keefe was issued traffic tickets directing him to appear in the Town of Carmel Justice Court on July 11.
