Finally the land where Spartan's used to be is getting a much needed facelift

The 900 block of the Southern side of Chase Parkway has been semi-vacant since the 1990's. Spartan's used to occupy a building there before they moved across the street into their current location. There was an old gas station that turned into a used-car graveyard for quite a few years on the adjacent land.

Finally, there has been movement in that area. I heard rumors over the years, that it would be an Outback Steakhouse, or a gas station, or a convenience store or local restaurant was going to move in. Well, it's concrete now, as you can see in the photo above, land has been moved, and there are the first signs of a new structure going up on the land. I put a call in to the Savings Bank of Danbury rep listed on the sign, but he didn't get back in touch with me by the deadline for the article. I'm on it. I'll update this as soon as I find out what's going to be there.

On a side note--Starbucks is coming along nicely on West Main Street across from 1249 and CVS. I'm sure the TD Bank tellers are counting the days also!
