Metallica rocked New York City's Central Park last night (Sept. 24) as one of the performers at the Global Citizen festival. The band played a five-song set that consisted of all classic cuts.

The metal legends kicked off the gig with "For Whom the Bell Tolls," followed by "Master of Puppets" and "One." They closed things out with a pair of 'Black Album' songs: "Nothing Else Matters" and "Enter Sandman." Watch video of Metallica's full gig above (video is cued up to the band's performance). Global Citizen is a movement that encourages people to take action to help solve the world's biggest problems.

Immediately after their Global Citizen gig, Metallica announced that they'd be performing an intimate club show at New York City's Webster Hall on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Tickets will only be distributed via a lottery to members of Metallica's online fan club. If you're not already a member, it's free to sign up. Tickets will be $25 each and will benefit City Harvest. Details on how to enter the ticket lottery can be found here.

Metallica's new album, Hardwired ...To Self-Destruct, arrives on Nov. 18.
