  • Governor Malloy is looking to reduce the state workforce by 500 employees. Malloy says the positions will be eliminated by June 30th through attrition, not with layoffs. Read more in the Hartford Courant.

 

  • Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton is apologizing for a mistake in his re-election campaign mailer. The back of the mailer calls two of the challengers for City Council seats incumbents.

 

  • Paint maker Sherwin-Williams is developing a new way to keep people healthy. A new product called Paint Shield can kill infection-causing bacteria like Staph, E. coli and MRSA.  A gallon of Paint Shield will cost around $85 and be available in 590 colors. Read more in USA Today.
