On May 7th 200 men and women, ages 16 to 75, will play in a 72-hour continuous hockey game held at Winter Garden Ice Arena, 111 Prospect Ridge, Ridgefield, CT. Play For Purpose is hosting the event and will raise awareness and funds to help local families in need of financial assistance due to illnesses.

The event is open to the public and admission is free. Opening ceremonies begin Thursday evening, May 7th at 7:00 pm and are followed by a Silent Auction and Cocktail Reception before the first puck drops at 9 pm. Play continues through Sunday, May 10 at 7 pm.

In addition to the marathon game, there will be special guest appearances on Saturday, May 9 by
New York Rangers Alumni with an Open Skate, Autographs, and “Meet and Greet” from 1 pm - 2:30 pm.

The NY Rangers’ Sled Dog Hockey Game against the NJ Freeze, (professional hockey for disabled players) will also be held at 12 pm on Saturday. Pet Partners Companion (service) Dogs will also be on hand at 11:30 am.
