Collaboration on Space Brings Latino Restaurant to Thomaston

If you're in the mood for authentic Latino/Costa Rican/Gluten Free cuisine, and you live in Thomaston, you probably had to drive to Bristol or Waterbury to get your grub on.

Starting up this Saturday, October 17, 2020, you can go right into downtown Thomaston and pick up your Empanadas, Fried Sweet Plantains, or Estofado, if you prefer vegetarian. The Tasty Empanada has just announced on their social media that they've struck up a deal with JDT's on Main, at 4 Main Street in Thomaston, to rent JDT's kitchen and space, and open up and sell their delicious cuisine, for delivery and pick-up, during JDT's off-hours.

The Tasty Empanada will celebrate their official grand opening this Saturday, October 17, 2020, from 8AM to 1PM. Basically how the arrangement is going to work, according to Tasty Empanadas post, the businesses will remain independent from each other, and operate separately. They've divided up the week by business hours at the restaurant at 4 Main St.

JDT's will maintain their business hours, which had been shortened due to coronavirus restrictions, as Wednesday through Sunday from 3-8PM. Tasty Empanada will be operating in the space, and serving up their food Tuesday evenings from 4-8PM, and Wednesday through Sunday from 8AM to 1PM.

And just to whet your whistle, here's a few of the menu items that Tasty Empanada will offer once they open their doors: For Breakfast - Gallo Pinto, Mommy's Humble Omelette, Breakfast Empanadas, and assorted Gallitos. For lunch: Beef, Chicken, and Pork Empanadas, Arrozcon pollo, and Casado. Wash it all down with a freshly brewed Cafe con leche, and you're off to a good start for your day Thomaston.
