Airbnb Offers Candlewood Lake Getaways

Airbnb is an online company where you're able to book a stay from local hosts in over 190 countries including unique stays right here in Connecticut.

With summer coming up fast, have you ever thought about booking a stay right on Candlewood Lake? Airbnb offers overnight accommodations at private residences all over the lake. If you're thinking about a lake stay, my advice would be to act quickly for the best selection of dates. Here are a couple of spots I found on Airbnb.

1. Sweet Dottie's Cottage - Located in New Fairfield, this waterfront cottage has 4 bedrooms and can accommodate 8.

2. A-Frame Cottage Off Candlewood Lake - Located in a lake community in New Milford, this cozy A-frame has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths and rents for $200 per night.

3. Stepping Stones Cottage - Located in New Milford, this cozy cottage had 3 bedrooms and accommodates 6 and rents for $175 per night.

4. Peaceful Lakefront Retreat in Sherman - This is a direct waterfront home with a lakefront deck, and a private dock with kayaks. This gorgeous home has 4 bedrooms, sleeps 8, and rents for $625 per night.

5. Waterfront Home in New Fairfield - For rent is a private room for two in the downstairs portion of this waterfront home, which includes one bedroom and one bathroom and rents for $130 per night.

Should you decide to rent a Candlewood Lake property sometime over the summer, do yourself a favor, and rent a boat from Echo Bay Marina to explore the lake.
