The Streets of Connecticut to Come Alive With the Sound of ‘Make Music Day’

All over the state on June 21, the universal language of music will be heard in the streets of Connecticut.

It's called, 'Make Music Day' and according to the Hartford Courant it originated in France in 1982. For the second year in-a-row, Connecticut has embraced the idea which will be held on Friday, June 21 in over 35 towns throughout the state.

The main purpose of 'Make Music Day' is to put as much free music on the streets as possible. This special day goes beyond the bars and clubs that already host music. Other venues include community centers, firehouses, museums, libraries, office space, and even the streets of Connecticut's towns and cities.
