The Who guitarist says health is not a consideration as he suggests current tour’s end will reveal if he and Roger Daltrey are really friends.

Some say it's nothing but a myth. Moon said it happened for real.

The band is currently playing shows around North America on their The Song Is Over farewell tour.

The surprise appeared midway through the rock legends' 24-song set in Sunrise, Florida.

Over the years, contributors from the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd and the Who simply disappeared into obscurity.

"Pete [Townshend] and I retain the right to be the Who," the singer declares. "Everyone else is a session player.”

It's all starting to feel a bit 'Spinal Tap.'

With a revised lineup and a classics-filled set, the band took fans on a nostalgic ride.

"I have to be careful what I say," Townshend says, "[Roger Daltrey will] be sacking me next."
