One medal-winning swimmer has already promised to "juice to the gills" in search of big prize money.

It’s an unenviable prospect for any filmmaker to try to balance the comedy and drama of the birth of 'Saturday Night Live.'

The character would become hugely popular, but his debut was less than "mahvelous."

The movie will explore the early years of the famous sketch comedy show.

There were low expectations for the sketch when it debuted on Feb. 18, 1989.

He made his debut on Jan. 21, 1989, but didn't become a breakout star until later in the season.

"If I had auditioned, I don't think I would have gotten in."

"My face went white," the musician recalls. "I thought, My career's over."

He also acted, appearing in 'Caddyshack' and several Woody Allen films.

The 1978 episode marked return of former breakout cast member, but not everyone wanted him back.
