Ridgefield Student Gets Holiday Surprise From Military Dad

It was the best Christmas present that a Ridgefield High School student could have asked for when she was reunited with her military dad.

We have all seen those heartwarming videos when a member of our military comes home early from deployment and surprises a member of their family. Well, It just happened recently in Ridgefield and fortunately, it was captured on video.

For ninth grader Lianie Ochoa, the school day was just like any other until a guest speaker was announced in her class. Little did she know that her dad, who was home early from deployment, was actually the so-called guest speaker.

According to patch.com, administrators at Ridgefield High School had arranged this special holiday surprise when they found out that Lianie's dad was coming home from his military service earlier then expected.

Lucky for us, someone in the class room was able to capture the tearful reunion on their phone camera, and then posted the video to the school's Twitter account:
