Being a child of the 70's and 80's, when I hear the word "Grotto" used to describe an area of someone's business, I always picture the famous Grotto of the Playboy Mansion. So, when I stumbled upon the announcement that Oxford's superior Black Hog Brewing is opening up their own version a Grotto, I imagined it will be more of an orgy of beer and cheese, rather than D list celebrities.

Black Hog Brewing took to their social media to announce that they now will have outdoor dining at their location in the shadow of Oxford Airport at 115 Hurley Road. As with most businesses, they've had to adapt to state and federal regulations over the past couple of months. Black Hog has until recently been only online order and curbside pickup, with the tasting room shut down due to regulations.

That will change this Friday, July 31, 2020, with the opening of Black Hog's outdoor Grotto. It will be open from 3PM to 8PM, and they're bringing in the unbelievably great Caseus Cheese Truck, as well as teasing not only a new beer release, but new glassware also. Black Hog Brewery is one of Oxford's star attractions, bringing world-class cuisine and brews to our little corner of the world. I've been a big fan of  Black Hog's co-owner Jason Sobocinski since his Cooking Channel show The Big Cheese really sparked my interest in fromageries.
