If you've ever hiked around Tarrywile Manson in Danbury, then you probably know about Hearthstone Castle. Now, its fate rests in the hands of voters.

The historic castle, built in 1899, has been crumbling down in recent years, and has become a serious safety hazard.

Over the last several weeks, the Danbury City Council adopted a plan to demolish the structure, just leaving the foundation and a few feet of the exterior walls. Inside, there are plans for some sort of public garden. The plan, which has drawn some criticism from people who want the Castle saved, will have to be approved by voters in November.
