CT Man Celebrates 67th Anniversary With Quarantined Wife By Her Window

It's so sad but heartwarming all at the same time.

Bob Shellard and his wife Nancy have been married for 67 years. Nancy lives in a Vernon, CT nursing home and Bob visited her every single day until restrictions were put into place because of the Covid-19 pandemic according to an article on the website, huffpost.com.

This past Saturday, Bob stopped by the nursing home and stood outside Nancy's window with a sign that read,

I've loved you 67 years and still do. Happy Anniversary.

 

Nancy watched her husband of 67 years from her window while waving and blowing kisses. Bob told necn.com,

I wouldn't want anybody else. I don't think she could put up with anybody else besides me.

Bob and Nancy's daughter, Laura said she and her three siblings were inspired and learned a lot from her parent's marriage and that this is the first anniversary that the two have ever been apart.
