We have had the opportunity to talk to so many rock and roll legends on the Ethan and Lou show, but this was the first time we got to chat with Billy. What a treat.

He was exactly what you would hope. Billy was down to earth, willing to talk about his famous beard and generous with his time. Take a listen.

What I found really interesting was that Billy worked up a completely new sound for his new album, Perfectamundo. It's an Afro-Cuban infused head trip. Listening to him explain how he delved into very different sounds, instruments and even hip-hop, did not do it justice until I listened to some of the new tracks. I was really impressed. It's very rare to see such an established artist try out something completely new and innovative, and get it right, on the tail end of his career. Billy did it though. Check out the title track and you will see what I mean.

Billy Gibbons, I must say, is now one of my favorite rock and roll interviews. He is right up there with Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull, David Crosby and Mitch Mitchell from Jimi Hendrix's band.

Billy Gibbons pulls into the Ridgefield Playhouse tomorrow night to support the new album. You can get your tickets at the Ridgefield Playhouse website here.
