Lou: ‘Yanks Are to Blame, They Don’t Have the Eye of the Tiger’
The Yankees have Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, Didi Gregorious, Luis Severino and like 12 closers in the their bullpen. This team has zero excuses for the way they played in the 2018 ALDS. The umpire is not to blame, the manager is not to blame and the pitchers warm up time is not to blame. They are missing "The Eye of the Tiger."
They were afraid.
They played scared. They chased pitches out of the zone, stranded a million base runners and never got a rally. Every pitcher who saw J.D. Martinez step in the box, gave up before the first pitch was thrown. They believed everything that they heard. They believed they were facing an unstoppable machine.
Apollo Creed didn't GIVE Rocky the "Eye of the Tiger" back. It was in him, he just needed to get mad enough and proud enough to find it. The Yankees never got angry, never showed any fight.
THERE IS NO TOMORROW! No one heard that,no listened.
The "Eye of the Tiger" is real, I saw it. He had it.

I know it's not the way anymore, every coddles everyone's feelings but someone needs to tell this team they have no one to blame but themselves. They did not show up for a fight. They never once looked like they wanted to be on the baseball field. This team is better than the Red Sox, they just refuse to believe in themselves.
Tear down the statue, let's all go home. Clubber knocked Rocky out in the 2nd round. Now I just wonder if Adrian will accept the invitation over to his apartment.
