It looks like the popular discount supermarket chain, Xpect Discounts, is getting ready to close their Danbury location in the coming months.

According to The News-Times, the parent company that operates the supermarket locations decided not to renew the Danbury building's lease on Newtown Road.

Danbury officials and Mayor Mark Boughton say they're hearing talks of another company taking over the soon to be vacant location, but no details are known at this point.

Once the store closes, more than 80 people will need to find new jobs, and hopefully whoever takes the space over, will do it soon to make those job transitions easier!
