I admit, I'm missing my big 85 pound hound dog Lucy, who passed away last year.

According to Danbury Patch, Felix is a small hound dog mix who's looking for a family who wants to cuddle and play. How can you bring home this friendly peppy hound dog? Just drive on over to the Putnam Humane Society on 68 Old Route 6 in Carmel and be prepared to fall instantly in-love. All of the dogs waiting for adoption, and there are many, can be viewed daily from 10am to 3pm.

If you or a family member are thinking about adopting a pet from the Putnam Humane Society, which is a no-kill shelter, the adoption fee for dogs is $175 or $225 for dogs a year old or under. The cat adoption fee is $100. The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, micro-chipping, and a free initial visit from a selected area vet. For more information, call them directly at 845-225-7777. You'll have to excuse me, I need to go and try to talk Mindy into adopting a dog.
