Go Bees!

Baseball lovers in the Connecticut city of New Britain were dealt a blow a few years ago when the New Britain Rock Cats high tailed it out of town to become the Hartford Yard Goats.

Quickly though a new team and energy emerged in the form of the New Britain Bees founded by Frank Boulton, who helped put joy back in the stadium seats.

Now according to courant.com a new owner has emerged. The Bees, an Atlantic League pro baseball team is being purchased by Anthony Iacovone, who is the head of a digital advertising technology company.

Frank Boulton, the New Britain Bees founder told courant.com

It's going to be business as usual. The experience at the ballpark is just going to improve

New owner Anthony Iacovone added:

Blending the right elements of technology and tradition will enhance the fan experience, increase team and player engagement and most of all, provide even more fun for the spectators

The New Britain Bees open their season Friday night April 21. With four current professional teams in the state, you can certainly indulge your love of the game for months to come, while supporting up and coming stars.
