It's something that's always on my mind as I am a New York--Connecticut commuter. Whenever there's speculation, either way, I worry.

I travel every day, bright and early from the Hudson Valley to Brookfield to get to the radio station. Word has it today, that gasoline prices are going to be on the rise soon, according to the Connecticut Post citing a report from AAA.

They say prices may rise by as much as 40 cents a gallon come summer. Right now the average price of a regular gallon of gas here is $2.38, which is up about 37 cents from last year at this time.

It's reassuring to remember that prices have been stable for a while, however, according to Fox TV 61 in Hartford. They note that AAA predicts gas prices could top out nationally this summer at an average of around $2.70 or maybe more for a gallon of regular unleaded.

I'm low-key hoping they’re wrong!
