Yikes. I have never watched Walking Dead, how about you? We may need to rethink it so we can hone our survival skills.

I could hear the wailing, the mashing of teeth, and the utter disbelief as the new Walking Dead season hit the other day. It was all over Facebook and other media outlets.

"Oh, the horror!" people were exclaiming. While I have never watched even one episode, I'm well aware of the story line, and how it has captured millions of fans.

Evidently, even Career Builder, one of the biggest employment websites around, has joined the masses of all things Zombie-like. They jumped into the fray to rank the 53 largest metropolitan U.S. cities from most likely to survive a Zombie Apocalypse to least likely.

I kid you not!  A new study by Career Builder analyzed aspects like a city's ability to defend against a flesh eating virus, ability to find a cure for it, ability to outlast the virus and the food supply. They even put together the Zombie Apocalypse Index Interactive Map. Serious stuff indeed. So, where should you move to?

Survey says: Boston ranked first in the study, scoring high in its ability to find a cure for the zombie virus. I'm not surprised by that. Boston has a take no crap 'tude for sure. The city least likely to survive a zombie apocalypse was New York. Great theater, museums and food, but no juice on saving it's ass evidently. However, Hartford Connecticut fares pretty well over all ranking ninth in the country. Move over Governor Malloy, we're moving in.
