Why I’m “Traumatized” by Halloween

It's NOT because of Zombies, Ghosts, or Demons..so WHAT IS IT???    Welcome to Halloween...the Eve of All Saints Day....

First..some Fun Facts...

All Hallows Eve, believed to be a time when the dead and other demonic creatures rise to walk the earth again...oh THAT could cause trauma...BUT, it's NOT my reason!

According to 2013 population estimates, there are 41.2 million kids between the ages of 5 and 14 who could be out Trick-or-Treating tonight...THAT could instill fear in any heart...HOW MUCH CANDY DO I NEED???!!!!!????...BUT, it's NOT my reason!

Nope....here it is....my reason...god rest her soul...is my MOM!!!  And not because she was nervous about bad things stuck in candy..or creeps on the street. Nope...she decided when I was about 10 that if I was going out "begging" for candy..I had to put effort into it and be CREATIVE about MAKING a costume!!! Yup, when most of my friends were throwing on a sheet or wearing a- god forbid - store bought costume..I was fretting over what I could make!!!...sheesh..what pressure!!!

Once I got to old to go out..I vowed to never dress up again...then I got into radio..and there is always a station Halloween Party!!! SO- I'm looking forward to seeing all the VERY CREATIVE costumes at the i95 party at 1st and 10 Sports Bar & Grill tonight.....I'll be the one in the STORE BOUGHT COSTUME!!!
