Gilbert Gottfried's comments and tweets have made him the target of people who get easily offended. He even lost his gig as the Aflac duck a few years back after a controversial tweet. But Gilbert is actually a really good guy.

I asked Gilbert about his involvement with the documentary Life, Animated. The film is about a young man named Owen who grew up with autism and had problems communicating as a child. Owen's family had a breakthrough when they realized they could communicate with Owen using Disney characters. One of his favorites was Iago from Aladdin. That role was played of course by Gilbert Gottfried.

This breakthrough sparked something in Owen, and today he is a highly functioning adult who goes on speaking engagements. Gilbert has been kind enough to join Owen on a few of these over the past two years. Here is what Gilbert had to say about it:

Thanks to Gilbert for joining the Ethan and Lou Show again. I highly recommend the documentary about Owen's life.

Check out Gilbert Gottfried at the Treehouse Comedy Club at Bistro B in Westport, CT on Saturday December 3rd. get your tickets here.
