According to the Daily Mail, the Koenigsegg Agera RS just broke a world record reaching 284.5 miles per hour.

The Swedish car maker, whose name I can not pronounce, took the new record Saturday at a track in Las Vegas. The record was previously held by the French Bugatti.

I used to own a Trans Am — not braggin', just sayin' — it was kind of awesome. I'd hit the gym, shower up, throw on a V-Neck, and hit the town. It was pretty amazing, I must say. Anyway, I never pushed it as fast as I could have, and I regret it to this day. I did 110 mph — not braggin, just sayin' — I could have gone faster. I was scared of getting pulled over, and you know consequences.

Back in the day, if you had a 300-plus horsepower muscle car you were the jelly and the jam. Now, some of these things come stock with 400-plus. What's your fastest? Where did it happen? How old were you? Did you run into problems with the law?

Fast cars — 'Merica!

P.S. 284 mph is just too much to fathom. I don't even know how the car does not blow apart into little pieces.
