Tips for Must Have Foods During the Big Game
The right food can make or break your "Big Game" party. Here are a few can't miss tips for awesome food to eat while watching the "Professional Football Matchup Between The New England Team And The Seattle team."
1) Chili - Can't go wrong. Everybody loves chili. Easy to make too: brown some ground beef and chopped onion, throw in some tomato sauce and chili powder, cook for a few hours, boom you're done. You can snazz it up with peppers, chicken, corn, basically anything you like.
2) Ribs - Obviously these are better on the grill, so start shoveling a path! There are also plenty of great crock pot recipes out there. If you're in a rush, get the pre-marinated ones, or plan ahead and let 'em soak overnight in your favorite marinade.
3) Chips & Salsa - You can make the salsa easily enough, or you can do the right thing and go buy it at Pancho's & Gringo's in Brookfield. You can thank me later. Best salsa you'll ever have.
4. Nachos - Chips, salsa, veggies, ground beef (cooked,) cheese. Oven. Done. Everyone's happy.
5) Wings - Make 'em, nuke 'em, or grab a tray from your favorite restaurant. As we just proved at CT Wingfest, there is no shortage of great wing places around here.
6) Grinder - Let your favorite deli do this. Pats fans can show extra team pride by getting the "In-Vince-Able" Vince Wilfork sub from Big Y.
7) Beer - Duh. Pats fans may want to reach for a Sam Adams for a little hometown pride, while Seattle fans can grab a Red Hook.
8) Football-shaped brownies and cakes - Guys, this is really important to prove to your wives and girlfriends that the Big Game isn't just an excuse to guzzle beer and eat nachos.
9) Antacid - for obvious reasons!
