There are some people who cannot stomach Christmas music at all.  I am not one of them.  There are a handful of Christmas songs I do love but not many.

My all time favorite has to be the Please Come Home for Christmas by the Eagles.  This has a little of everything.  You feel the Christmas vibe when you hear it and it has just enough sadness but not too much.

As much as it pains me to say this I have to say I like Mariah Carey's version of "All I want for Christmas is you."

Then of course you have "Do They Know it's Christmas" from Band Aid.

Of course there is "Happy XMAS (The War is over)" from John Lennon and Yoko Ono.  A classic.

For sure one of my all time favorite's is Nat King Cole doing "The First Noel."  This is a timeless song.  It kind of puts you in a Christmas trance.  You feel drunk on egg nogg even if you did not drink anything.

Then you have Mavis Staples with "Christmas Vacation" the song from the classic movie by the same name.

There are not MANY great choices in my opinion in fact that is about where the list begins and ends for me.  Christmas music...most Christmas music is frankly obnoxious and downright annoying.  There are few things that can send a seemingly normal human over the edge like Christmas music.  I mean why do you think there are riots on Black Friday?  You actually think it's the crowds.  No man it's the music.  That's just science.
