It is with mixed emotions that I tell you I am leaving New Milford, and moving to Danbury.

I love New Milford, that's no secret. I go on and on about it in my blogs. I am also excited about moving to Danbury. We are going from an apartment to a house with a lawn and plenty of room for the kids. It did occur to me that Danbury is one of the few towns in the local area I have not lived in. I lived in Brewster, Mahopac, Putnam Lake, Patterson, New Milford, and had a stop over in Newtown. Never lived in Danbury, though.

Sure, I have worked in Danbury for years, but no one knows a place like the people that live there. What can I expect both positively and negatively? What experiences do I want to avoid? Which ones do I want to be a part of? What advice do you have for me?

My wife grew up there, but she is too excited about the move, and knows I stress out about things I cannot control, so, she will just tell me what I want to hear. I asked Mayor Mark Boughton about this, and he just said, and I quote, "Welcome to the D block." That was less than helpful. So, I leave it to you. Fire Away.
