Memorable Moments in NFL History: Lynn Swan

This series goes right up until kickoff of Super Bowl 50.  Part 5 features: Lynn Swan, The Fridge, Herm Edwards, Odell Beckham Jr. and Ndamukong Suh.  Let me know what moments you think I have missed so far and you may see them appear in part 6.

When I was a kid this is a highlight I would see almost every Sunday.  It was the gold standard of NFL highlights and it never gets old.  Lynn Swan made football look like ballet in slow motion.

"The Fridge scores a TD in the Super Bowl"

Super Bowl 20.  The Chicago Bears are pouring it on the New England Patriots so bad that they figure hey let's put "The Fridge" in at tailback and see what happens.  I was a little kid but I remember it very clearly.  I burst out laughing...CAUSE HE FAT!

"You play to win the game!"

Why do you play the game Herm?  OH.....Right....Winning.  Gotcha.

"Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman UFC fight"

So I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I don't think these two like each other.  I did not get a chance to see this game live but I can tell you from what I heard about it I though I was going to see the worst thing the world had ever seen.  Like all things it was blown way out of proportion.  These two got chippy and started to forget why they were there to begin with and started to fight.  Who cares.  It's great TV.

I was mid huge bite of Turkey leg when I saw this on Thanksgiving of 2011 and I laughed and laughed.  What do you expect.  I love dirty football players.  I'm a Raiders fan after all.
