Yeah, that was my spread yesterday. We had chili in the crock pot, we had buffalo cheese dip made with "Gronk" hot sauce, empanadas, Spanish rice, pizza bagels and fruit.

It was a Sunday meal for the ages. It was a pretty mixed bag of food, but every bit of it was something we were craving. That is the beauty of football Sunday. Whatever you crave is what should be on the menu. I mean we know the traditional game day foods; pizza, wings, ribs, subs.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with any one of those, but you can always expand from what is expected into new realms that may have you downing empanadas on a Sunday.

The menu is actually more important than the quality of the games because if the games suck you have a much better chance of tolerating them with a pile of wings in front of you and a cold one at your side.

Now that I nailed the football menu it's time for me to lock down a World Series menu.  That is a whole lot different, but I think tomorrow night when the series kicks off I'll start with traditional ballpark food.  I'll do some hot dogs...maybe with a twist, french fries, pretzels, peanuts and some warm beer to really bring home that being at the ballpark feel.

Whatever I decide on I can be certain of one thing...if the local teams like the Mets, Patriots, Jets and Giants continue to be good contending teams I'm going to probably pack on a few pounds.
