What the loss of Robin Williams means to me...   It is public knowledge that Robin battled drug and alcohol addiction. His publicist issued a statement that Robin had been "battling severe depression of late". Robin recently checked into rehab to "fine-tune" his sobriety. And yet, today we mourn him. The brain is a powerful..powerful organ.Mental Health issues and depression is a powerful..powerful disease...and yet...  I've personally been touched by the loss of friends loved ones. And in my lifetime in radio I've sadly received the call numerous times with the info that another listener is no longer with us. And we all know the tragedy that touched us on that December day in 2012 when mental illness reached out in an unimaginable way. And yet...

What I know is that we need to do more #isupportmentalhealthawareness   What I know is that more funding needs to be made available to truly combat a disease that is so misunderstood. What I know is that we all must reach out more..stop and listen..really hard to the voice that cries out. I would be remiss if I didn't share 2 organizations that continue to fight the fight. Click here
