A Thomaston man is free on bail after what is described as "passive aggressive" intimidation- stabbing a watermelon in a threatening manner.

According to the Register Citizen, a woman went to Thomaston police complaining that she found drugs hidden in the man's tool box. She hid them in her bedroom.  When she returned home, the drugs were missing but she was greeted by a watermelon on the kitchen counter with a large butcher knife sticking out. The man walked into the room and began slicing pieces of the watermelon without saying a word.

She found the gesture to be threatening and complained to the police, who charged the man with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct.

More on this story as it develops, unless it turns into less of a slow news day.
