Always sad when a fun place to take the family goes belly up.

Weather in New England can be unpredictable, at best. Here we are in May, and it's still cold and rainy. We all can suffer from cabin fever around here, and god knows the kids can be unbearable after days stuck indoors. One upside to being indoors is the advent of the indoor water park. That's something a lot of us can wrap our head around.

Indoor water parks are not a dime a dozen. You don't find them on every street corner! So, it is sad news that one in Connecticut has shut its doors. In a story from wfsb.com, CoCo Key Water Resort in Waterbury closed down on Sunday, May 1.

Certainly, in New England, there are other indoor venues to head off to. Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in the Hudson Valley, Great Wolf Lodge in Fitchburg Massachusetts, as well as spots in the Poconos. But on top of CoCo Key being the only indoor venue in Connecticut, wfsb.com also reports that 100 people have lost their jobs. Depressing all the way around.
