I've spent the last 36 years being a parent. I'm pretty sure that 99% of parents out there would agree that parenting is the most difficult and demanding job you will ever experience, but at the same time it will be the most fulfilling.

You can read every book on parenting, on how to do what, when, and at what age, but it still doesn't prepare you when your first born comes home and it's just the two of you with this very loud tiny human being depending on you for everything!

I believe the first night we brought Matt home from the hospital, I woke up the next morning and told Mindy ... "I can't do this. He's going to have to go back."

I equate parenthood with riding the Deja Vu Roller Coaster at Six Flags Magic Mountain, except you're never allowed to get off!

I don't know about you, but from time to time, as our kids were growing up, we would ask ourselves, "Are we doing a good enough job?"

I found this video as part of a blog on ctnews.com which was produced by Minute Maid, as in orange juice, where they went to their kids to get answers to the question that's on all parent's minds, "How am I doing?"

Yes, I cried. My advice, go hug your kids and tell them you love them.
