The whole idea of a fan fest is stupid. We all know this, but this is way more than anyone could have asked from the recent Gilmore Girls cast visit to Connecticut.

According to the NewsTimes via the Freedom of Information Commission, Washington Depot resident, George Bartholomew, claims that local officials “stonewalled” locals who asked for information about the event.

Are ya kidding me? I love this! Small town people, as we have talked about on the Ethan and Lou show, move to those quiet, small towns to avoid this crap. What did they expect to happen? Ole' George here. The article does not mention his age, but I'd be willing to wager he's 70 or older.

Older dudes who live in picturesque and quiet Connecticut towns have zero patience for loud, cackling millennial chicks running up and down the street screaming "he's so hot." They just don't, and I can not blame them.

Nobody needs a fan fest of any kind. I am a fan of a couple of things, and I would never attend a fan fest. It's a desperate look for all involved. It's desperate for the fans, obviously. It's equally desperate for the stars of the show who appear at them. It's an admission that you have absolutely nothing better going on.

I feel ashamed for us all. I do find it hilarious, however, that the words Gilmore Girls will now appear in federal paperwork. The more I think about it, the more I think we all need to calm the f--k down!
