The CT State DEEP is offering free fishing licenses for the second time this year. In a story posted to FOXCT.COM , free one-day fishing licenses are being offered to both residents and non-residents on Saturday August 15. These are licenses to fish both freshwater AND saltwater. That's awesome! You must fill out the forms on the DEEP website to be official, CLICK HERE for the website. Or, you can go to a local place and get your license in store. In Danbury, you could go to Candlewood Bait & Tackle at 36 Tamarack Ave, Danbury Town Clerk at 155 Deer Hill Ave, Dick's Sporting Goods at Danbury Fair -  7 Backus Ave, The Sports Authority at 13 Sugarhollow Rd, or The Valley Angler at 56 Padanaram Rd.

I spent many Summers pulling Largemouth Bass out of Lake Zoar, and have always wanted to go saltwater fishing, but never did. THIS MAY BE THE YEAR. I'm broke, and free fishing day may save me a few bucks and fill my belly!
