I urge you to take some time out of your Saturday morning to pay your respect during the event in Danbury.

The Vietnam War shaped the lives of many of us in the United States. It remains a volatile part of our country's narrative. Lives were shattered and so many families still live with the pain of loss from this controversial War.

To that end, I among many others, believe we should never forget.

A Vietnam Wall ceremony will happen Saturday September 24 to commemorate the wounded and war dead.

Information on the website for the Danbury War Memorial in Rogers Park states the ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. Everyone is invited to partcipate. The gathering will be at
the Vietnam monument which was created after the Vietnam Wall replica came to Danbury in 2012.

Saturday’s ceremony, sponsored by the Danbury Council of Veterans, is being hosted by the Catholic War Veterans.

Please take the time to honor all those that have served this country, as well as those who still do.
