If your commute will be taking you on I-684 this week expect heavier traffic and delay's Monday through Friday.

Commuting on I-684 can be tough enough, but this week you can expect added delay's and more traffic as crews perform road maintenance.

According to patch.com, DOT crews will be at work all week between 10 am and 2 pm and that will cause traffic delay's as lanes will be closed during the road work.

The work, which will take place mostly between Exit one and Exit three, will have Northbound Road closures from Monday through Wednesday, and Southbound Road closures Wednesday through Friday.

Commuters should try and take alternate routes during this construction period. Also remember to use caution when in these work zones, and keep in mind speeding fines are doubled when your in these area's. Two or more speeding fines in work zone area's could also result in suspension of an individual’s driver license.
