Ridgefield’s HooDoo Brown BBQ Features ‘Hogzilla’ + ‘Bloody Trinity Mary’ on the Cooking Channel
When Ridgefield’s Hoodoo Brown BBQ opened its doors in May of 2015, it was an instant success.
On Tuesday, July 11 at 9pm you can watch Hoodoo Brown BBQ owner, Cody Sperry and manager, Chris Sexton debut their Hogszilla Sandwich on the Cooking Channel’s, Man, Fire, Food reality show. Here’s a preview:
These two guys had a blazing passion when it came to barbecue. So much so, they decided on a road trip to Austin, Texas to find out how the pros did it by traveling to over a dozen barbecue joints, talking to pit masters at each of their stops.
That trip to Austin, along with some encouragement from friends was their motivation behind opening their own place, Hoodoo Brown BBQ. Their menu item featured on the Cooking Channel’s “Monster Meat” episode will be their Hogzilla Sandwich, made up of shaved pork ribs, pulled pork, pork belly, Hoodoo Voodoo Sauce, fried green tomato, and smoked garlic bacon mayonnaise. Sidenote: I personally have sampled the Hogzilla Sandwich from Hoodoo Brown BBQ. You must consume this sandwich. You must!
