Top 5 Things to Do in Danbury According to TripAdvisor
I've been living in this area now for more then 26 years, and I can't tell you how many times I've heard someone say, "There's nothing to do around here."
Well, sometimes, you're too close to the forest to see the trees. Sometimes, you have to take a step back to really see all that Danbury has to offer. Maybe we should look at things from an outsiders perspective.
So, I paid a little online visit to TripAdvisor.com to see what their users consider to be the best things to do when they're in town.

TripAdvisor Review: Joe U.- Saugerties, N.Y.
My wife and I were going to be in the Danbury area and wanted to take a hike. Tarrywile Park was the perfect spot. We weren't sure what to expect but thoroughly enjoyed the blue trail. One part of the trail was steep but overall it was exactly the type of hike we were looking for.

Elephants Trunk Flea Market
TripAdvisor Rating- 41/2 out of 5 Circles
TripAdvisor Review: Walloweye- Long Island
Like any flea market whether you find your bargain is hit or miss, but here it won't be from a lack of vendors. We come here two or three times a year and almost always buy something. Over Memorial Day weekend the field was almost completely full. It can be hot here so bring a hat and wear sunscreen.

Danbury Railway Museum
TripAdvisor Rating- 41/2 out of 5 Circles
TripAdvisor Review: Woomonkey- London, England
Really good railway museum. Clambering all over the diesel electrics was fantastic.
This museum just has loads of trains in the yard - some you can walk into. If you like that then you will love this. You can have a ride in a cab for a few metres which is worth doing.
Like I say if you like trains you'll love this. Its interesting as the trains are not ring fenced off so you can wander around them/under them (sometimes inside) - 4
Military Museum of Southern New England

The place is set-up to that you through history. Some stuff from other countries. The outside have a book that gave you the history of the vehicle. It is a self-guided tour. So take your time and enjoy.

Richter Park Golf Course
TripAdvisor Rating- 4 out of 5 Circles
TripAdvisor Review: Joe B.- Surprise, Arizona
Richter GC is a bargain beyond belief. The course is a scenic gem with water in play on half the holes. The rolling forested county side is great all year but fall is spectacular. The play is challenging. The staff has become very friendly and helpful in recent years.
