Before Tom Petty rose to fame with the Heartbreakers, he had a band called Mudcrutch. They were one of the most popular bands in their hometown of Ganiesville, Florida when they moved to L.A. to seek fame and fortune. After releasing one single, they broke up. In 2016, they're back and on their first major tour, which comes to the Capitol Theatre in Port Chester June 14th.

In addition to Petty, Mudcrutch includes fellow Heartbreakers Mike Campbell and Benmont Tench, as well as guitarist Tom Leadon and drummer Randall Marsh.  They released an album in 2008 and played a few small shows in California.  The second Mudcrutch album, appropriately titled "2," comes out May 20th, with their tour starting May 26th.

Tickets are on sale now, and we're giving them away this week on My 3 Songs at 3 PM.

Here's the Mudcrutch version of "Don't Do Me Like That," which Petty re-recorded with the Heartbreakers for a huge hit.

Here's what they sound like in 2016 with their new single "Trailer."
