Today is #WorldCancerDay

Pink is certainly the color we think of for Breast Cancer Awareness, but today we unite to raise awareness of all cancers. The Union for International Cancer Control sets aside each Feb. 4 to raise awareness of cancer. Their main goal is to substantially cut illness and deaths from cancer by 2020.

Sadly the World Health Organization expects cancer cases to rise to 22 million over the next 20 years.

BUT for today we live in hope ... we think of the amazing survivor stories like Valerie Harper ( who was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer 2 years ago, and still fights the good fight ) and the millions more who live with grace and dignity every day with any number of cancers.

And we remember the countless more who fought until their last breathe.
