This Bethel Restaurant Attracts Both Foodies and Music Lovers Alike
Imagine a quaint, comfortable restaurant that features an imaginative menu and live music!
I’ve discovered my dream restaurant, The Note Kitchen & Bar at 227 Greenwood Ave. in Bethel. I should tell you what my dream restaurant consists of. I love an eatery that’s not cavernous, but instead, is cozy and unique. I like a restaurant that’s not afraid to be different — that offers a Squash Bruschetta or a Lobster Mac & Cheese. I realize it’s not for everybody, but I enjoy being able to hear live acoustic music. Tony Heslin, the owner of The Note, created his restaurant because he’s a foodie and a music lover.
Let me be honest, The Note is not one of those quiet, romantic eateries. I’ve had the opportunity to frequent The Note on two occasions, and the vibe is conducive for laughter and conversation, and when the live music kicks in, it can get lively, although there is a separate room for patrons who enjoy having a conversation more than listening to music.
The Note’s chef, Calin Sauvron, has a creative flair when it comes to mixing and matching locally grown fresh food. Her menu is imaginative which makes her food delicious. My recommendations are the Lobster Mac & Cheese and the Blackened Sea Scallops but there are so many more dishes that sound delish. The Wine List is extensive and there’s an excellent selection of bourbons and craft beers, not to mention my middle child, singer/songwriter, Ethan James, is back playing at The Note on Thursday, January 5, 2017. Except for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, The Note features live music everyday until the end of 2016. For a complete list of artists, click on The Note Kitchen & Bar. I have to give The Note a 5-out-of-5 rating for the food, atmosphere, attentive service, and live music. Well done Tony!
Give a listen to Ethan’s Band, Sunup!
