Normally one would say, something smells fishy...

So instead of something smells fishy, it's more like your goose is cooked. Or more exact - pheasant. Thankfully, no birds are on this now empty farm, but suspicion is in the air on the other side of Connecticut.

In a story from CBSlocal.com, Connecticut State Police are investigating after the third fire this week at a pheasant farm in Salem. In a good news/bad news scenario, the farm is empty. According to the report, while a few years ago the place had thousands of pheasants and other birds, it's been abandoned since the farmer fell ill.

Police say three fires have occurred in the past week at Bordeau's Pheasant Farm, and thankfully, no one got hurt any of the times. They say the grass has grown up very high, and, of course, the hot and dry weather makes it a nightmare.

Sure, it could be just the weather conditions or the errant flick of a cigarette, but police are being cautious, and are investigating the fires as a possible result of arson. It seems to me that three fires so close together smell, well you know, fishy.

Anyone with information on one or both of the fires is asked to call State Police at (860) 465-5456.
