So I told you last week that shedding a few pounds was one of my goals for 2015.  I'm beginning to wonder if the world is conspiring against me to keep me chunky.

I know, deep in my heart of hearts, that I have the power to say "no."

But when you work at a radio station, all kinds of delicious food is just a fact of life and walking away is nigh-on impossible.

Last Wednesday we had a big meeting. Got the lunch catered by Nardelli's. Nardelli's to me is like tequila to some people. It removes the word "no" from my vocabulary.

"Hey Tim, want another piece of Italian Combo Wrap?"  "Yes!" even while my body is screaming "no."

Friday, I got a late start due to the morning snow squall and got jammed up with work, so rather than going home, walking the dog and eating something (hopefully) light for lunch it was a grinder from the deli at the Brookfield Mobil.

Again, Brookfield Mobil = food porn.

People never believe me when I tell them how good the food from a gas station deli is and then they are shocked to find out for themselves. It's physically impossible to eat half the sandwich and save the rest for later.

Sidebar: hit the gym both days this weekend and figured I would track things on my tablet as a motivator. The app that came pre-loaded accepted Saturday's workout but wouldn't save Sunday's.  So I downloaded another app that took both workouts, but re-calculated the calories burned WAY down from what the machines told me I had done.  Deleted THAT sucker pronto.

Come in this morning to a giant box of Girl Scout cookies in the kitchen.  Girl Scout cookies go on sale nationwide today and you should definitely buy some.  However I have to now not go through the kitchen (which is the fastest way to get to anywhere in the building) so as not to be tempted.

And... apparently various restaurants that will be participating in our Wingfest will be coming in every day for the next two weeks with wings, so that we can sample their flavors and report back to you so you can map out your route for that night.

Oh the humanity!

I will not be deterred!  (Well, not too far off the path anyway.) Just hoping for a little extra willpower as I deal with these first-world problems. The struggle is real!
