The four B's - Beer, Burgers, Baseball, and Buddies - summon us to our favorite sports bar, no matter where you happen to live.

With the NY Yankees playing .500 ball, the Mets bullpen stinkin' up the joint, and the Red Sox only a game back of the Orioles, 'tis the season for the air conditioned comfort of your favorite area sport's bar. The following are the top five sports bars in the Danbury area, according to Yelp & Trip Advisor.

    TK'S AMERICAN CAFE - DANBURY

TK's almost closed their doors in '91 until a paper sign in their window advertised "10 cent Wing Night" on Tuesdays. That paper sign saved the bar, and shot TK's into one of the most popular wing restaurants in Connecticut, with lines out the door. They now serve nearly 20,000 wings per week. You can find TK's at 255 White St. in Danbury. Call 203-730-1776.

1ST AND 10 SPORTS BAR AND GRILLE - NEW MILFORD

1st and 10 is one of the newer, and more upscale, sports restaurants at 507 Danbury Rd.(Rt. 7) in New Milford. This restaurant is huuuuge, and features Direct TV on 20 different screens. 1st and 10 is also home to I-95's Howling Halloween Party. This is one of the best sports bars to watch any kind of sporting event, because the screens are gigantic. The wings are outstanding!

THE MEETING HOUSE PUB - BETHEL

The Meeting House Pub at 37 Stony Hill Rd.( Rt.6) in Bethel used to be La Fortuna before it changed over. I love this place because of their beer menu. The last time I counted they had 40 beers on tap. There are TV screens all around the bar area if you're looking to mix some sports in with your beer flight. Yelp reviewers rave about the food, the beer variety, and the friendly service. Go there! You will love it! Call 203-456-6532.
