The Raiders are the 2nd Best Team in the AFC

If you think I am sitting back quietly and comfortable, you would be wrong. Good thing I am not actually on the team. When I watched the Raiders play and beat the Broncos last night, I was beside myself.

Evey single thing they did make me sick to my stomach. They are good, they are showing the potential to be great but they scare me. It's like having children. You love them, you believe in them but every thing great they do borders on insane. I have never seen a team so good that is so on the edge of being bad in my life.

It's fun and all to come out of the darkness after so many years but it's heart wrenching. They can't just make a forty yard play. It has to be under review. They cannot just win a game but they make enough mistakes to keep the other team in it.

That being said, the only team better than the Oakland Raiders by the eye test is the New England Patriots. That is scary because I know if it came down to the AFC Championship game the stupid Pats would probably win. Not only that but the Pats and the break that they got in the "tuck rule" game changed the trajectory of the Oakland Raiders for years to come. We have not recovered until now.

I say screw it though. If that game came up tomorrow, I would at least give my team a puncher's chance.
