The Price of Booze Could Go Down

Congress and PamJam looking for ways to save you money! Here's the skinny - There's a new bipartisan bill, and it's called the Distillery Innovation and Excise Tax Reform Act.

You need to know about it if you imbibe on occasion! According to TheWeek.com, his bill would lower the federal tax on booze from $13.50 per gallon of alcohol, down to $2.70 per gallon.

Did you know that around 15 percent of what you pay for a bottle of liquor goes to federal tax. What that translates to is that the passage of this bill could mean a price drop of one to two bucks.
