It is a matter of time before the NFL has to make drastic rule changes to protect players and when they do the game will look very different and probably will suck to watch.  The facts are the facts though.

The collisions in the sport of football are as violent as car wrecks. To do that for 3 hours straight 16 times a year over a full career can only mean a lifetime of pain if you are lucky.  The unlucky ones end up with long lasting effects on their brains from concussions sustained during their playing days.

That trailer for Concussion, starring Will Smith, looks awesome, but the NFL is going to hate it.

I'm surprised with all their power they didn't try and stop it from being made. This is not something that a major corporation with billions upon billions of dollars at stake wants to see. They have had a rough few years in terms of P.R. and now this.

This is not a dialogue they want going on in this country. They would rather sweep it under the rug and wait until something tragic happens like a player dying on the field on national TV before they doing something.

One day, sadly, that will happen.
