According to Rolling Stone Magazine before his passing, Chris Cornell contributed to a Johnny Cash tribute album called "Forever Words." Cornell used two Johnny Cash poems to create a song called "You Never Knew My Mind."

I heard this song for the first time this morning and was both happy and sad at the same time. Many of these tortured artists can't imagine the contributions they make to our lives. They cannot see the way their art improves all of our lives but it does. We lost Chris Cornell way too early and this song is a beautiful tribute from Cornell to Cash.

This is the first posthumous song to feature Cornell since his passing. The album "Forever Words" will be available April 6th and features artists like Elvis Costello, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Jewel and Brad Paisley. I don't purchase a lot of music anymore, not like I used to. I will be buying this.
